- How are sitters verified?
- Every sitter uploads a government photo ID, proof of address and a selfie. A member of our team checks them and approves, rejects with a reason, or asks for a better photo. Nothing goes live automatically.
- Do you run criminal record checks?
- No. Verification confirms a sitter is who they say they are and lives where they say they live. It is not a police clearance. Meet before you book and check references yourself.
- What does it cost?
- Families pay a 7% booking fee on top of the sitter's rate. There is no charge for browsing or for sending a request. Payments are not yet handled on the platform, so today you settle directly with your sitter.
- Can I see exactly where a sitter lives?
- No, and neither can anyone else. Profiles show a suburb and an approximate area about a kilometre across — we publish a point up to 500 metres from where a sitter actually lives. Exact addresses are exchanged between you and your sitter after a booking is confirmed.
- What if I need someone and nobody is available?
- Post a job with your dates and budget. Verified sitters can see it and apply with a quote, and you choose.
For sitters
- What does it cost to join?
- Nothing. Joining, listing and verification are free. We take 10% of what you earn on each booking.
- How do I set my rates?
- Per service. You can charge one rate for baby sitting and another for pet sitting, hourly or daily.
- How long does verification take?
- The upload takes a few minutes. A person reviews it, so approval is not instant — you will get an email either way.
- Can I turn down a booking?
- Yes. A request is a request. Decline it and the family is told, with no penalty.
